Where does violence begin?

When there is physical assault? Face to face bullying? Cyberbullying? Or does it already start with verbal abuse, insults and harassment?

The fact that peaceful coexistence among young people is not the norm is illustrated by a recent OECD study, according to which every sixth young person in Germany is or has been a victim of bullying or cyberbullying.

The brutalization of language, as it appears on the Internet under the cover of anonymity, already starts at a young age, where insulting behaviour is part of "normal" everyday life.

Our goal:

We want to sensitize young people to the various forms of discrimination and exclusion in order to make it possible for them to experience a respectful cooperation at school, in the family and at work. In an environment that is becoming increasingly heterogeneous and conflict-prone, we want to train peace skills in conflicts - skills that must become a basic competence in multicultural societies.

How to get there:

For general and vocational schools, we organize workshops with students that build on each other in modules. They can also be carried out individually, depending on the needs of the school.

In order to anchor peace skills in everyday school life, parallel workshops with teachers are indispensable. Teachers and students must speak ONE LANGUAGE in order to deal constructively and respectfully with critical situations.
